Almost a third of adults dread the office Christmas party, according to the BBC / MIND - isn't this, or similar events, an amazing opportunity to grow social capital?

Is it a bit like outward bound activities aimed at team building - the forced nature of it stops it being effective?

Or something else?

I ask mainly as it's the one bit of employment that I really miss personally (Jon and I not having been invited to any office Christmas parties again this year!)

Anyway, happy Christmas (or Festivus if you prefer) and see you all again next year!
